Representative Conyers called upon me to testify as Major Newman, not as a professor at the University of Maryland Honors College.

I complied with the request to testify about my views with respect to the government’s compliance with the JFK Assassination Records Release Act.  At the time, it was very early in the process, and the Assassination Records Review Board was still not in place.
